Well, you wasted your money on the computer, egr, fuel pump, and coil. You need to look for a vacuum leak. The engine is getting to much air and that can and will cause the cut off. Loss of fuel is obviously not the only reason for an engine to stall. You might also want to check throttle position sensor, replace all of the oxygen sensors if there are more than 1. Your primary problem though sound like a vacuum leak. If you can keep it running at a stop by speeding up the engine, then go look for a vacuum leak. Your prime places to look will be any of the large vacuum hoses coming from the intake manifold. Good luck, it would be nice to know how you make out.

I would check the TPS also and it might be a clogged fuel filter. I would not put that dualube crap in my vehicle. some of the best fuel system cleaners is berryman B-12 chemtool. lot of peopel likes sea-foam also. I would almost say its a fuel filter and if its like the later dakotas. then it will be in the fuel tank.
do you hear a high pitch whistle while the engine is running. if you dont then might not be a vac leak. but check all hoses and if they look cracked or brittle. I would replace them just to be safe.

Your cheapest fix may just be a problem with the fuel delivery system.
Depending on the actual behaviour of your truck, if you can idle your truck by shifting to nuetral and idling your engine at a higher rpm, try this…
First, puchase a bottle of “Duralube”, a fuel system cleaner, (best product I have found) and add it to your near empty gas tank. Fill your tank with high quality gas and park your car. While your engine is at normal operating tempeture, start to rev your engine at a high rpm to which your comfortable with doing, maintaining that rpm for a short period of time, gradually reducing your rpm’s to idle speed.
Repeat this process over the next half hour, longer if desired.
Worked for my mother in-law’s car flawlessly. Suprised the heck out of me.
“Duralube” should cost $10 – $20 dependig where you buy it.
Having your fuel filter replaced may also be a cheap, quick fix. Being an ’88 may make the job simple enough for you to do yourself.
Fuel filters vary in price roughly $5 – $35+.
If all else fails, inspect all of your vacuum lines and hoses for joiner breaks or slips, broken lines, cuts or holes.
    Engines vary greatly,
    Good Luck!
